The Coast Guard Recruiting Command (CGRC) CSPI Program Requests Your Support!

The Coast Guard Recruiting Command (CGRC) CSPI Program Requests Your Support!: For over 25 years, the College Student Pre-Commissioning Initiate (CSPI) has recruited URM students from predominately Minority Servicing Institutions (MSI) into the officer corps. Today the Coast Guard’s program provides a $ 3,600/month stipend to cover tuition and guaranteed officer-employment for qualified junior and senior college students. The Coast Guard has recently initiated the MSI Partnership Program where flag/SES Executive Champions are assigned to the MSIs listed below. Through the provisions of an approved MOA, these Executive Champions will work with MSI leadership to provide students guaranteed selection to the CSPI program. However aside from direct selection, the CSPI application process is open to all interested students attending MSIs. NNOA BOD and local chapter outreach support will help ensure that CSPI is a success. Please share this information! Details on CSPI can be found at www.GoCoastGuard.com/CSPI

Please contact CDR Stacy Miller @ Stacy.L.Miller@uscg.mil and (cc) the NNOA CG Affiliate CDR Shameen Anthanio-Williams for additional details and contacts.

The next CSPI application deadline is: 11 Jan 2019
