The purpose of the Eclipse Legacy Fund (ELF) is to provide resources for mentoring, outreach, and professional development opportunities for Coast Guard Academy cadets and officers with the goal of strengthening both minority recruitment and retention within the Coast Guard. The fund will also create a bridge for service personnel to achieve success following Coast Guard careers.
The organizers are in the process of redefining their mission statement and extending their community outreach.

Then, the Coast Guard Recruiting Command (CGRC) Ambassador Program is the place for you! CGRC Ambassadors are motivated members of the Coast Guard who volunteer their time and efforts to augment Coast Guard recruiters when needed. Ambassadors are typically asked to assist at career fairs and conferences, mentor applicants, or assist prospective recruits with the application process. On April 22nd at 0900 the Coast Guard had a change of watch: Rear Admiral Michael Johnston is now the Coast Guard’s Assistant Commandant for Acquisitions and Chief Acquisitions Officer. As CAO, he directs efforts across all Coast Guard acquisition programs, acquisition support, personnel, finance, and research and development activities to execute the service’s acquisition portfolio. CONGRATS Admiral Johnston!
