Update on the Navy STEM Essay Contest.
Deadline is now August 9th!
Dear STEM advocates,
The Naval STEM team wanted to share a note to let you know that the Naval Horizons contest deadline has been extended to Aug 9th; the updated flyer is attached. We hope you’ll share this message with your networks.
We encourage all high school students to participate in the Naval Horizons student essay contest: https://navalhorizons.us/
FYSA, Naval Horizons is a high school essay contest that introduces students to cutting-edge STEM topics that impact the Department of the Navy (DON). The students will learn about Naval STEM challenges and DON scientists and engineers via an educational video series. They will then write an essay on how the videos inspired them for a chance to win a cash prize. The contest challenges students to picture themselves in a STEM career and design the Navy and Marine Corps of the future.
Should you have questions, please contact Naval_STEM@navy.mil.
Best,
Kathleen
