Transition to the Civilian Job Market

NNOA Veterans offer a plethora of Non-Profit, Profit, Government, Entrepreneur, and Academia work/employment experiences. Those experiences can easily be shared with NNOA members facing transition.

We have a unique opportunity to introduce lessons learned, via this website, in the form of webinars (fireside chats) as well as direct contact with our transition assistance team members. We are also fortunate to have senior executives from a variety of professional backgrounds who have volunteered their time to share their transition experiences in our webinar series. We look forward to assisting those of you who are facing transition by providing invaluable insight that will contribute to the success of your transition.

Transition Tips

Leaving the military can be an incredibly intimidating experience, especially if service is all you’ve known for most or all your adult life. Knowing what obstacles lie ahead can help you avoid pitfalls and manage your expectations. Here are some key tips that will give you the best shot at a successful transition.

1. Formulating the Resume
2. Take Full Advantage of your Benefits
3. Transition your Healthcare Plan
4. Get Life Insurance Coverage
5. Take full advantage of available Resources
