Welcome to the Chaplain’s Corner

Christmas 2016

“Glory to God in the highest and on Earth, Peace, Good will toward men.”

– Luke 2:14

“If, as Herod, we fill our lives with things, and again with things; if we consider ourselves so unimportant that we must fill every moment of our lives with action, when will we have the time to make the long, slow journey across, the desert as did the Magi?  Or sit and watch the stars as did the shepherds? Or brood over the coming of the child as did Mary? For each one of us, there is a desert to travel, a star to discover and a being within ourselves to bring to life.”

At this festive time of the year, it is very easy to become caught up in the commercial versions of Christmas.  For many Christmas is the most sacred day in the calendar year! A time to reflect and give thanks for the many blessings God has given.  I invite you to honor your authentic experiences during this season and take time to be with family and friends counting your blessings.  Make memories that honor the season of sharing and showing each other kindness, gentleness and love.  The greatest gift we can share is the gift of charity towards one another. Have a safe and memorable Christmas Holy Day!
