Derrick Oliver is a native of New Orleans and a Retired Marine Corps Officer with 27 years of faithful and honorable service. Derrick is deeply rooted in all the communities that he and his family have lived in.
He has earned an Associate Degree (General Studies) University of Phoenix, Bachelor of Science Business Management and Master of Management University of Phoenix. He has completed the Life Cycle Executive Leadership Program (University of North Carolina) and received certificate of Apprenticeship from US Department of Labor with a concentration on counseling.
He is an active member of the National Naval Officers Association. Major Oliver became a member of the National Naval Officers Association, Incorporated upon his appointment to Warrant Officer in 2010. Since that time, he has been a member/board member of several chapters.
He serves on the Board of Directors for Mentoring Every Neighborhood and Community (MENAC).
Derrick is married to the former Malaika Alford of Washington D.C. They have three daughters Arianna, Deja and Makayla.
