NNOA Aloha Chapter News Release 2021-06-30

The Aloha Chapter of the National Naval Officers Association (NNOA) in Hawaii recently initiated efforts to renew and awaken the Spirit of Aloha on the island of Oahu.

With the guardianship and vision-setting of RDML Dion English (Director, Logistics, Fleet Supply and Ordnance, N4, U.S. Pacific Fleet), several Hawaii-based sea-service senior leaders met this past month and formed the “second inaugural” Advisory Council.

With a strong salute to those who have served in the previously established chapter, the Advisory Council discussed what RDML English described as a “viable and sustainable” way to grow the membership among the thousands of sea-service personnel stationed in the historically and strategically significant state.

“Establishing a viable battle rhythm will be a critical key to our success,” said U.S. Navy CAPT Allen Maxwell (Commanding Officer, Afloat Training Group, Middle Pacific).

“With such a diverse group and great support from the National organization, we can set obtainable and sustainable goals for the chapter and our prospective members,” said U.S. Navy CAPT Andrea Petrovanie-Green (Special Assistant, Quality Management, Naval Health Clinic Pearl Harbor).

Other members in attendance included U.S. Navy CAPT Darryl Green, USMC Col Joseph Delaney, USCG CAPT Ulysses Mullins, and retired U.S. Navy CDR John H. Clark III.

The Aloha Chapter Advisory Council intends to meet later in July, August, and September to further solidify goals, plans, and the associated actions to maintain viable and sustainable growth throughout the next six months.
